Vítor Monteiro (SM, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in Power Electronics and Energy Systems in 2016, and the M.Sc. in Industrial Electronics and Computer Engineering in 2010, both from the University of Minho, Portugal. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Industrial Electronics, School of Engineering, University of Minho , Portugal. His research activity has been developed at the Group of Energy and Power Electronics (GEPE) of the Centro ALGORITMI, University of Minho, in the fields of industrial and power electronics. He is an IEEE Senior Member, Vice-Chair of the IEEE PES (Power & Energy Society) Portugal Section Chapter, and Member of IEEE IES, IEEE PELS, and IEEE PES. Vítor Monteiro serves as Associate Editor of the IEEE Access; IET Power Electronics; IEEE Latin America Transactions; IEEE Transportation Electrification Community eNewsletter. He is also has the role of Editorial Board Member / Topic Editor / … of the Journals: MDPI Energies; MDPI Electronics; EAI Endorsed Transactions on Energy Web. Vítor Monteiro has as main Research Interests: Power Electronics Converters; Digital Signal Control; Electric Mobility; Renewables; ac/dc Grids; Power Quality; Solid-State Transformers; Wireless Power Transfer; Railway Systems; Energy Storage Systems; Smart Grids, Smart Cities, Aerospace Applications.
