Sérgio Coelho is a 27-year-old electronic engineer who graduated from the University of Minho. His academic journey includes a Master’s in Power Electronics and Energy Systems at GEPE, which was concluded in 2020. Subsequently, he engaged as a researcher in the PV4SUSTAINABILITY project, where he gained valuable experience visiting Mozambique and exploring sustainable solutions for solar PV power. Currently, Sérgio Coelho is a PhD student conducting research activities at the Centro ALGORITMI Research Centre, University of Minho. Additionally, since 2020, he has been serving as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Industrial Electronics, University of Minho, contributing to academic development and the nurturing of future professionals. His R&D investigation focuses on the development of power electronics solutions applied to solid-state transformers, renewable energy, energy sustainability, and hybrid microgrids.
